chances of receiving a scholarship

it is difficult to get scholarships because the number of seats is limited, but competition is very high. according to a recent report by the national postsecondary student aid study, only 1 out of 10 undergraduate aspirants can get a scholarship for a bachelor’s degree. even with a GPA of 3.5-4.0, only 19% of students can qualify for scholarships given by the institutions. there is only a 0.7% chance of achieving an athletic scholarship from a college/ university. although a good profile is essential when applying for a scholarship. on the other hand, the test scores like GRE, sat, or GMAT also increases your chances of getting a scholarship. yet, only 13% of total students with such profiles can get a scholarship.
 

what is the right time to apply for a scholarship?

some colleges offer scholarships to their students. there is no need to apply separately for these scholarships. if your scores and profile meet the requirements of the scholarship, then you are automatically eligible for the scholarship. for information about these scholarships, you need to concern with your college admission cell. as we know, there is no need to apply separately, so you don’t have to worry about any extra deadline. everything is taken care of by the college itself.
